I actually liked that. I wish the Erikson one was fulfilled through Kobo. It's nice to see the Humble Bundle books show up in a library.

I’m pretty sure all my old humble bundle books are still available to download through my humble bundle account. In my humble bundle library, if you will. I’m not sure why I’d feel any better if it was kobo.

Anyway, this is another bundle I am resisting. It’s a big risk getting a long series without knowing if you like it.

Believe InCryptid is still ongoing. October Daye is too. Seanan McGuire has given the titles for the last two books, but not sure how many more before that.

Yeah, these books are not at all my style. But the back-to-back $25 bundles make my wallet happy this one is unappealing.

IMHO it's also a big risk to get any ongoing series with 10+ books, because if the author intends to keep the series going indefinitely, instead of having a planned story arc over a fixed number of books, then eventually the quality is going to decline, the series will likely die with a whimper at some point, and you'll be wishing you quit reading six books ago.

At worst it's an $18 risk, the price of two full priced books. If you enjoy the genre, take a look at reviews, especially of reviewers that you tend to agree with.

For what it is worth, I rank the October Daye series right up there with the Mercy Thompson and Dresden series in the urban fantasy genre. If you enjoy those two series, then maybe our tastes match enough for you to enjoy this one as well.
