Tinnitus takes care of that for me in the same way. But when I can't stand that, a bad european football game, the kind with loud supporters or a rugby match will guide me to sleep pretty quickly.

In this case I would be referring to a DLL. The problem with XP is that video drivers run in kernal mode so if they have a problem they crash the PC. This is a big advantage to the Vista/Win7 video driver model... the drivers now run in user mode.

Ok, so I don't see a .DLL name mentioned in your error message. There ususaly on there somewhere. Do you see a .DLL name anywere in the BSOD message?

I agree with the other person that said "page fault" could be memory. But, bad RAM isn't as prevalent these days as it was 10 years ago. But it's possible.

Hey, I had a bad virus/sinus issue the last few weeks, including sinus headache and now it seem I may have developed tinnitus. I certainly hope not -- the sinus issue continues as well but not as bad as a couple of weeks ago. I've scheduled an appointment with the Dr later in the week. My right ear feels "stuffed up" and I've got a constant whooshing kinda sound for the last few days. Sometimes it lessens or even stops. Does that sound like (your) tinnitus?

I know the on you're talking about. It will subside.

Mine is work related to 30 years working with machinery even with hearing protection. Of course there were many rock concerts peppered threough.

Thanks. I hope that is the case. I've got a Dr. appt later in the week in any case. I had a few of those concerts myself, but has been a few years back.
