Third and the last resteep of Tuocha Pu-Erh.
3 minutes this time. That was the last, second tuocha sample packet. I am going to order sooner or later, 100gr. When I do I am going to try to brew it for one cup. However, I am not going to do it like they suggest at NBTea. I will do as other people advise. Rinsing Tuocha for 30 seconds. Then short infusions. 10-20-25-30 seconds. I am curious ![]() |

![]() and friends are calling "yoo hoo", Come on, it's lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you. ![]() Happy Monday, everyone! The thermometer is reading in the minus numbers, but the kitchen is warm and cozy. Just right for a cup of "Catherine" Royal Blend tea and a bowl of muesli. The Japan Sea side of this island is getting pounded by snow storms. Thank goodness the Kyoto area only gets a dusting a couple of times during a winter. Although the snow is falling now, nothing is sticking to the ground, and the roads here won't freeze. I can see snow on the tops of the mountains that surround Kyoto, (and it sure looks pretty,) but not have to deal with shoveling snow, tire chains on my bike, or power failures. Damn... this Catherine's Royal Blend need to be exchanged for something that doesn't taste as if the sewers backed up. Yuck! I'm going for an oldie but goodie... Yorkshire tea! Stitchawl |

I have a craving for hot coco with whipped cream, but I don't have any whipped cream and I don't have any coco.
I'll sublimate my craving with a cup of no-brand Keemun tea. Stitchawl |

Thanks for that. (I tried to give you some Karma for it, but the page wouldn't let me until I spread some around. I'll have to owe you!) But I don't have chocolate, heavy cream, or milk in the house. So I guess it on to yet another cup of tea... I do have some sweetened condensed milk on the shelf and plenty of spices. I think I'll whip up some Indian Chai! That will satisfy my sweet tooth for now. Stitchawl |

Monday morning, really. A hard week ahead. Still better at work, than unemployed at home. So...third cup of tea for today. Second cup of Ahmad Hampton Breakfast. Seems like my suspicion that brewing good black tea at work doesn't work very well is a correct one. At home, Hampton Breakfast was good, not great. At work is is only passable. No point brewing good quality teas in the office. Mediocre will do. I don't know what affects it. My mood? Unfiltered water? A cup instead my tea glass at home? Probably mood. |

Another mediocre tea that I picked up because it was in a nice looking tin. The 'Catherine' line of teas is blended by Whittard of Chelsea, a UK tea company with over a century of buying teas. What is a shame is that with a century to learn, they still haven't figured out how to blend a good tea! It's not a 'bad' tea, it just doesn't compare with the better teas on the market.

I've got Ahmad Earl Grey tea a brewin' and I can't seem to get into studying these days. Also, I've sort of decided to upgrade my slow as molasses laptop to a Sony Vaio EB. I was really thinking about getting a Macbook or the cheapest Macbook Pro, but I wouldn't have anyone to service it here in case something broke, and it's a bit too pricey.
