Make a picture of one of those. Then take one out with all the basis, an other picture, cut in half. Picture again. Put them on. I'll tell you what they are. So, I came up, connected to the Forum, and I came here to tell you that I am drinking a generous Martini on the rocks, while I wait for W to join me to the wondrous lunch I fixed for us. For her an Ocean salad: mixed lattuce and cicory, fresh from the garden, seasoned with Nyons olive oil(1) and a pinch of salt, hand mixed. Covered with generous slices of smoked salmon, Bordered with the quarters of 6 tomatoes, intervalled by huge crevettes with a dash of mayo.
For me same salad withou oil, double of tomatoes, covered by boiled octopus pieces marinated in lemon juice, parseley and pieces of garlic. The other day the dentist kept her in for 3 hours so she cannot chew the octopus yet. So the lax.

White Pinot from NE Italy.

Care to join us?

You can say what you want about the French and their funny accents, but in terms of essential things like olive oil, foie gras, Cabernet Franc, oysters and goat cheeses they are SUPERIOR! Girls also. Not to speak of bubbly wines. Ah, that is what I would have had put in the fridge. But I asked W to think to the wine and she did not dare.

I've been enjoying your photos, ardeegee. I'm not much into macro myself (though a macro lens is one of my faves), but I do enjoy looking at the results of those who do.

However, my real prompting for this post is your racist spider. I heard a joke on Twitter this morning which I thought (hoped) you might like, and one which could be adapted as necessary:

Q. What do you call a black man who flies a plane?
A. A pilot, you feckin' racist!

The sun's just starting to touch that pretty "flowering" tree out the back door, which must mean it's time to get out of bed...or maybe just have another coffee. Retaining wall construction today, I think. Must turn on the spa, as I'll probably need it. Also, we've got several garden boxes to mount on the back retaining wall (for herbs) and off the balcony (possibly cherry tomatoes, or chillies, or both.

Your little guy is so damn cute - for a spider! That one photo you had of him holding a fly in his fangs - looked just like a little puppy dog with his first rawhide bone! Those eyes (all 500 of them) just speak to me! And I HATE spiders.

You do notice him at the bottom of the photo, eyes just peeping out?

Yeah - he looks scared! Don't let the new black one eat him!

Thought: given the difference in size between male & female spiders - could the new large black one be a female? If so, the little guy should look scared.
