Ummm, I seriously wouldn't not recommend trying to wear your cat on your head, unless it has been declawed of course.

I think that would be in parity with "Why it's a bad idea to stuff ferrets down your pants..."

No problem!

1. Don't like ice tea? No problem! Marc will happily provide you with all the ZCDs you wish for.

2. No funny hats but have cats? No problem!

3. Not near your hammock? No problem! Drink the ZCD now and you're mind will be flying you homeward to your hammock in no time.

And how do you cook those googlies? Why they are best experienced as is, raw, in the buff, as it were. They are quite rare, you know.

Googlies aren't that rare. I can tell you that as a physician. Slighlty less than 50% of the population have hangy down googlies, the rest have the hidden kind.

BTW, I bought a breadmaker a couple of months ago. Hot darn, I never realised what I was missing! The thing makes gorgeous huge loaves which people LOVE. Which I love, and I've never been a huge fan of bread. I add linseed sunflower and almond meal, and quinoa flour, and chickpea flour, and nuts and fruit and spices.... *droooool*
I'd love to see some recipes, if you follow them. I bought the husband a machine, thinking he would use it to make jam (he makes his own apple butter), but instead he makes whole wheat bread with it. It's great!

I just did an interview with Sara Palmer of BBC Radio Jersey. She has a fantastic oldies show, all the music I grew up with :http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p0042rgw

Apple butter? What do I have to imagine with that? I need more recipes for apples! Though, I think I can make some apple turnovers...

Started the day with a trip to the recycling center to get rid of the remains of one of our old sofas that I dismantled last night (it was doing a god job of dismantling itself to be honest).

Then did the weekly shopping.

Then over to Ikea to buy the first two of the new bookcases (to replace two that are 20+ years old and falling apart) and some storage boxes, which I assembled.

Then took down the net curtain and old curtain rail in the lounge, replacing them with a venetian blind and a new curtain wire supporting a pair of sheer fabric curtains...

It's been all go this weekend!
We spent the weekend taking apart our master bedroom closet and replacing the old shelves with closet organizers. After stripping off the old shelves we decided to repaint using the eco-friendly paint that was low-odor. The paint cost twice as much as regular paint and was more like a glaze than a paint. It took almost 2 gallons and 3 coats to cover a fairly small area. I wasn't happy about the cost, but at least our clothes won't smell like paint and I love having the closet organized. My OCD is definitely happy.

Oh, you youngsters. You're never happy with your lot in life. Actually, I think teaching is an extremely noble profession. Sure you don't make a lot of money and you have to deal with negative stereotypes, but you are molding future generations. I remember many of my teachers fondly and feel that they had a great influence on my life. Thank goodness for Mr. Peterson and his typing class. I use what I learned in his class everyday!

Definitely get him talking, Cat. My grandfather lived until he was 99 years old. He was born in 1898 and the changes over his lifetime were amazing. I wished I had had the good sense Zelda has and recorded some of his stories. I know my kids would have liked to hear them.

How far into the prog is your interview??

It's a good time for an interview with BBC Radio Jersey - the place is packed with holidaymakers at this time of year.

I'm more of a 'make it up as you go along' kinda gal, but this morning's effort was a standard 'healthy' white bread mix for a 1.25kg loaf, with 1/4 cup of quinoa flour, 1/4 cup of linseed sunflower almond meal, about 20ml more water than called for by the mix, 1/4 cup of pecan pieces, 1/4 cup of walnut halves, 1/2 tsp of nutmeg. Howzat?

Just received a comment on Facebook from Jessica Conant-Park that she's sending me a copy of "Fed Up", the fourth in the Gourmet Girl series that she and her mom, Susan Conant write. WOOOOOOHOOOOO!!!!!
