Maybe I should take more pictures of the offending bike because it is not in the kind of shape to offer as a gift. Totally usable but also totally used. Lots of tape and tape residue all over it.

Maybe you should unlock YOUR bike and take it inside, of course you'd need to take anything attached to it too.

That was one of the evil things that crossed my mind but I don't have anywhere to put them inside. The exterior of my side of the building is being painted this week, so everything has to be kept off the balconies. All my patio furniture is taking up the space in the 2nd bedroom.

Daffy ~ If it makes you feel any better, I think you have very nice handwriting for an irate person (completely justified, of course). My 21 year old son and I were just talking about the "entitlement" generation. People think they are entitled to do what ever they like. This seems like just another instance of assumed entitlement. What would really be great is if you had one of those little spy cameras so that you could catch the culprit on tape and then post it on YouTube with accompanying vocal commentary explaining the situation.

Thanks for the handwriting compliment. Notice it was in red the color of my rage.

We actually do have security cameras all over the building including the garage. If I need to I can ask the maintenance super to let me look at the DVR footage. If it happens again, I might do that.

I just talked to the maintenance guy for the building. He doesn't have s cable cutter on site but he'll bring one from home tomorrow and if the bike it still there... we'll get ta cuttin'!
