Well, that went well. Just bought a Kobo book with a 75% code and there's no download button. It's a Crossway book, so can't figure why they don't have an EPUB to go with it. Sent them an email but I wonder if it's worth the aggravation of tangling with Kobo's CS. Mostly just irritated at the waste of a good code.

They can be a bit slow to reply, but in each similar situation for me (yes, more than one!) they've issued a refund as well as an additional promo code of equal value. Not so bad. If they fail to give you a code, just email them again about it - it's probably an oversight.

HERE'S A TIP: I have recently noticed that after adding a preview of a book (rather than buying it), I can then see in My Library if an epub download is available. I think I'll do that from now on as a precautionary step, seeing as you can't see this info in a book's listing.

In one especially annoying case, they even gave me a 100% off code for all the aggravation! I've yet to use it - can't quite decide on a title ... Any suggestions?

I find chat is the best way to contact customer service. Much faster and as viv says they've been issuing replacement codes as well (sometimes for more than the original code).

That's something of a known issue around here, and I just complained about it (again) to Kobo today. In short, you have to use a Kobo reader or app to download it.

I know about the Preview option but I haven't been buying books as frequently as I used to and I got careless

If I got a 100% code, I know exactly what book I'd buy with it - I have a book in my wishlist that's over $20.00!

I tried Chat first but it was taking forever to get an available agent so I gave up and went the email route. A refund and a return of my 75% code would be great

I hate all Kobo's reading apps so I'm not even thinking about that option. I managed to read one full book on their iPad app and that was more. Than. Enough
