Why oh why oh why did I sit through even an hour of Avatar? I'm surprised I made it through 1 full hour of that dreck before leaving. One of THE worst movies I've ever sat down to watch in my life.

EDIT: Unobtainium, seriously, unobtainium? FACEPALM.

Don't know what you are saying because you're on my blocked list, but probably something about stealing books.

As one of the other habitue's of the thread who had boiler problems, I give my sympathies. We had a pump go out a few years ago, then the following year the whole damn thing went out, then it skipped a year and stopped working again this year. Of course, it was actually the flow of gas to the boiler that was interrupted, but it stopped working, nonetheless.

We actually celebrated our Christmas a week early but they are predicting a bit of snow on Wednesday/Thursday that is expected to hang around for the "official" holiday. So looks like a Bing Crosby Christmas here as well.

ARGH!

I can't believe it. I went out shopping this afternoon... thinking I would be home in time to watch the Bucs game. Of course... it took longer than we expected. Then when we got home I figured... well... I don't just want to watch the rest of a terrible game they loose again... so we went out to dinner...

Well... I finally got to the game and the Bucs were up 24 to 7 half way through the fourth quarter.

So, I missed most of the second of only two games they have won all season...

UG!!!

Glad they won though.

Hi pilotbob,
It must be a Law of the Universe, or something, that anytime you do not watch your favourite football team (no matter what football code, no matter where you are), they will win. They only lose when you watch them.

It happens to me every season, both Rugby League and Australian Football.

Paul,
Canberra, Australia.

Unless you are Kaz, who seems to have to watch her team play in order for them to win!

After being snow bound for 2 days and because we are not going to Florida as planned, we decided to finish the last bit of shopping my kids were planning on finishing in Florida. What insanity!!! It took us 1 3/4 hours just to get into the mall parking lot! There were plenty of parking spaces but the drive around the mall was bumper to bumper both ways. At one point, I had to walk from the road leading (it's one way, single lane so no chance of turning around and fleeing) into the mall where we had been slowly progressing for an 1 1/2 hours to take Ryleigh to the bathroom at Macy's. There is a reason I try to do most of my shopping online and this is it!!

Well... it's only 52 here in Fl right now (at least in Tampa) so you aren't missing awesome weather.

Thin glass is not a good material out of which to build ebook readers!

My CyBook's screen has cracked. I was carrying it my hand (in its case), when I slipped on some ice. No damage to me, but I can only think that my hand must have gripped too tightly when I hit the ground. There's now a nasty little crack to the substrate in the bottom left hand corner. (Which has now spread to the whole screen, not that that makes any difference.)

I shall move over to my Kindle for reading (I have one for testing purposes). I'm not sure that's it's worth getting this one fixed - it's expensive to do so, and this is the second cracked screen we've had. Not that I think there's any particular flaw in the CyBook. Only that glass screen are inherently fragile.

I think I'll wait until screens without a glass substrate become available before I get another ebook reader. Hopefully sometime next year.

Thank you to everyone for the sympathy.

I have moved over to my Kindle, which now becomes my main reading machine. Of course, it has the exact same fragile screen. Let's hope it lasts long enough for non-glass readers to become common.
