Australia has been geographically isolated for a hell of a long time...you know how that goes, don't you? Having relations with your cousin is practically compulsory.

Cheers,

No, that's pretty serious. It's annoying when they do it for a £4 book.

Should my boiler have blue sparks going across the circuit board? No, I didn't think so either.

It's snowing, and I have no central heating. ARGH!!!!

Oh, Am, I'm so sorry! I hope you get it straightened out soon. I hate it when appliances start malfunctioning. It's so much trouble and tends to cost more money than I want to spend. We have recently purchased appliance insurance which convers our major appliances, in particular our HVAC. It's seems kind of silly, but it gives me peace of mind. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Okay, I know I've ranted about this before but I just went to pay my ticket for running a new stop sign. The ladies at the courthouse told me they've had a lot of complaints about that stop sign because it's in such a weird place on a quiet residential street. What made the whole thing worse was that in addtion to the $30 ticket fee they charged me an additional $61 processing fee! CALGON TAKE ME AWAY!!!!@@!

No heating problems in the winter in south central Arizona, the heat barely has to come on at all.

But, come back to me in July/August when the air conditioners start going out!

That happened to us a few times when we lived in South Florida. It was AWFUL! Of course, the biggest problem was the humidity which you don't have to deal with since your heat is so dry and all. I always thought it was funny when people would say, "yeah, but it's a dry heat". Heat is heat and it's no fun when the digits on the thermometer hit in the triple digits.

Well, heat with low humidity is better that heat with high humidity. Just the same thing with cold.

If you for instance are up in the north of sweden, and it's -30C, you do not feel the cold as much as you do where I live if it's say -5C. Due to the much higher humidity around here you feel the lesser cold more intense.

We lived in Arkansas for a few years. The summers there were miserable. Blink, and you break out in a sweat.

At least here you only shrivel up and blow away in the oven furnace heat!
