Here's another Berliner. This one's from Berlin (duh!). The earlier one was from PORTUGAL! (a Berliner from Portugal???) I'd post one of a Berliner from Texas but that would just be too weird.

The reason I thought a Berliner was a doughnut was because Eddie Izzard does a whole routine on it. So, I'm just going with his definition (because his French and German are both a hell of a lot better than mine -- and because I don't remember much of what I did or didn't eat while I was in Berlin (it was 40 years ago .... so gimme a break).

As to what I'm doing right now, I don't even know where to start. Some background is necessary. I don't know what possessed me to put Windows 7 on my primary laptop, but I did, and it doesn't work with some of my older hardware.

So, after I had put XP on my Asus (which is my travel companion), I realized that my Asus should be the one that has Windows 7 on it, duh .... So, I reformatted the drive, and then realized that in order to put Windows 7 on the machine, I would have to reinstall XP, then put Vista on the machine and THEN Windows 7.

Once that machine is finished and all the data is transferred (and reorganized), then I will restore my main laptop to Vista (which is what it shipped with). I am also working on a master sheet for reinstallation, cd and download locations, support information, upgrades, passwords and what have you for all of my computers.

And then, I've got to review some stuff and finish an article before Zeep and the Texas Truckers Association hunt me down and kill me.

I'm trying to recover from two days spent in The Airport. Stupid Northworst Airlines got us boarded half an hour late, then proceeded to keep us on the tarmac for another hour and a half. By the time I got to Minneapolis, the last plane for La Crosse had left. They gave me 40% off a hotel room and $25 off a FULL FARE ticket in the next six months as comensation. Miraculously, my luggagemade it to La Crosse with me. Been napping off and on all day.

What a lovely way to cap off a stressful trip. Why didn't Northwest just line you all up against a wall and shoot you?? Would have been kinder in the long run.

Thank goodness you weren't on the flight out of Rochester where the passengers spent 9 hours stuck in the plane on the tarmac.

The spokesperson for the airline said the people would get a voucher for a future flight. I wonder if it was only $25 off like yours.

bastards ! i hope you spent the entire time plotting a clever and devious revenge on everyone involved. (i once spent more than 24 hours to make an 11-hour trip, with no hotel OR FOOD involved, and they gave me a 25$ voucher too.

god, i hate flying.)
