Just noticed two books on sale for $0.99 that I've read and enjoyed.

Has anyone noticed their library's Overdrive catalog switch a lot of books to epub/pdf only (no Kindle format)? Like 1/3 of the titles I have out are epub only. I wonder why!

My library shows 117,594 ePub (ADE) [plus 3,602 Open ePub] titles and 114,376 Kindle which is I think about the same ratio of books that haven't had Kindle versions in the past although I'm not sure.

The last several books I've checked out have been available as both epub and kindle.

Are they new books or older titles? While I have noticed some of my recommendations haven't showed up in Kindle format, I've also noticed several older titles aren't in Kindle format... and I have to wonder if they've used up the Kindle 'quota', but still have epub, OD versions still to borrow? Just my hypothesis.
