Santa Fe, Argentina

Santa Fe de la Vera Cruz (usually called just Santa Fe) is the capital city of the province of Santa Fe, Argentina. It is situated in north-eastern Argentina, near the junction of the Paraná and Salado rivers. It lies 15 kilometers from the Hernandarias Subfluvial Tunnel that connects it to the city of Paraná. The city is also connected by canal with the port of Colastiné on the Paraná River. Santa Fe has about 500.000 inhabitants as per the 2010 census.

Santa Fe was founded by Captain Juan de Garay in the nearby site of Cayastá in 1573. The site is today a historical park containing the grave of Hernandarias, the first American-born governor in South America.

Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge, Morris County, New Jersey, USA

The Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge is part of the Great Swamp, which is in Central NJ and includes parts of Somerset and Union counties. It's the last remains of glacial lake Passaic, a large lake that formed at the southern edge of the retreating Wisconsin Glacier at the end of the last Ice Age. It was controversial when it was established in 1960 because of the commercial value of the land. Also, there were competing plans to build another New York City area commercial airport in the area. However, it is a major stopover for migrating birds in the Atlantic flyway as they "funnel" through New Jersey -- it's well worth stopping by in the fall! -- and that was a major factor in the decision to establish the refuge.

They are the tallest New England buildings north of Cambridge, Massachusetts. The Sullivan Plaza is shorter than City Hall Plaza by a mere 16 feet (4.9 m). Other major buildings include the 18-story Wall Street Apartments tower; the 14-story, recently renamed Brady Sullivan Tower, which was the former New Hampshire Insurance building; at 12 stories, the Radisson Hotel and Convention Center Manchester (which serves the Verizon Wireless Arena across the street), the Carpenter Center (a former hotel), and the Hampshire Towers condominium building; the 10-story Citizens Bank Building, which was, for much of the early- and mid-20th century, Manchester's iconic Amoskeag Bank "skyscraper"; and several high-rises of or exceeding 10 stories on the city's West Side. This partial list only includes residential and commercial buildings and does not include hospitals, spires and domes, etc.

Amoskeag Bank in 1913: At 10 stories, it was Manchester's "skyscraper" for over a half-century.

is a city in the U.S. state of Nevada. It is located in the Northern portion of the state, approximately 36 miles (58 km) from Lake Tahoe. Known as "The Biggest Little City in the World", Reno is famous for its casinos and as the birthplace of Caesars Entertainment Corporation. It is the county seat of Washoe County, located in the northwestern part of the state. The city sits in a high desert at the foot of the Sierra Nevada and its downtown area (along with Sparks) occupies a valley informally known as the Truckee Meadows.
