All the JS Tool does is what was originally done but at the end updates the custom column.
Added: I viewed a book in the new Viewer, then highlighted a piece of text, closed the book, opened the book in the Viewer again, clicked on the highlight snippet in the Highlight bar on the right of the book screen, and it opened properly. What does "as expected" mean if not the above? DaltonST Last edited by DaltonST; 10-17-2020 at 01:09 PM. Reason: more info |

I did find a faster way than 'open path > open ePub directly' to bypass the last-viewed update for when I'd rather not have it update.
Using the Open With plugin to point to ebook-viewer (and yes, you can set a keyboard shortcut!) is technically outside of Calibre's default view actions, so it doesn't affect the date. ![]() Just posting this for anyone else who might find it useful. |

Version 1.0.186 will not fail due to the new Annotations Browser, but it also will always behave like your screenshot shows.
Future Version 1.0.187 will have a minimum version of Calibre 5.3, but it will be late next week at the earliest before I can release it. DaltonST |

I tested it and it opened to the highlight in ebook-viewer and updated the #lastread. Thank you.

Ok, so I wasn't quite sure what "nulling" fields meant. Is there any way to revert it?
I am looking at a REALLY jacked library unless I can revert it. Edit: Previous versions from an hour ago on the metadata.db Last edited by Rellwood; 10-31-2020 at 07:32 PM. |

Quote:
Absurd. The Tool only adds new data (0's for integers, 0.0 for floating points, dates of 0000-12-31 at Noon, and a special null unicode symbol for text) but changes NO existing data. Read the ToolTips in Customizing for Add Null Values. For textual columns, simply delete the null symbol wherever it is found, like I said previously. DaltonST |

In Calibre 5.4.2, I got this error from Tag Browser Icon Assignments when selecting a category from the dropdown menu (either with or without currently assigned icons).
The last update had some changes to the Tag Browser to make it keyboard-navigable, but it happens regardless of whether Preferences > Look and Feel > Tag Browser > Allow the tag browser to have keyboard focus is enabled or not. Code:

I installed the test version. I was able to switch categories and assign/unassign icons without any errors. Is there anything else specific I should test?
