I loved Mal, the whole series actually were 4 and 5 star reads IMO. Sadly, I was disappointed in Dirty [Kylie Scott's newest release]. To me it lacked the overall charisma of the Stage Dive series. I only rated it 2.5.

What to read next? I tried starting a book but it was too serious. I'm looking for something fun like the Stage Dive series. Any suggestions?

I'll second this suggestion. Even if you don't like the first book, each story in this series has a different tone (for lack of a better word).

If you don't want something too serious, forget the third book, and I would go directly to the second book, Blossom.

Don't forget the novella (which was listed as #2 on her website, but now has 1.5.) It's a long novella at least category book length.

Rock Courtship and Rock Hard are my favorites.

Not quite at the same level as Kylie Scott, but two authors I've found that write fun stories that are somewhat lighthearted with a good amount of banter are Tawna Fenske and Lauren Layne. Tawna writes for Entangled and Sourcebook while Lauren writes for Loveswept, so there's at least a chance that you can find them at the library.

Another author that most people seem to really enjoy for the lighthearted banter is Alice Clayton. I tried her first book and didn't click with her style, but all of her books have a 4.0 or higher average on Goodreads so clearly I'm in the minority. You should be able to find her books at the library also.

Does the library send the email if they buy a book you suggested? Also, does it matter whether the book was suggested in overdrive or 3m? The practice is new to me.

I don't know about requesting from 3M. For overdrive, yes they send you an email when they purchase the book you requested.

3M sends an email, too. At least, my other library did when they had 3M. They switched to Overdrive last year, but have the request function turned off. My main library's Overdrive thankfully still allows requests.

You have to fill in your email to be notified for the request to auto-generate though. When you make the request there's a box you put your email address in that says something along the lines of "Notify me when my library purchases this item"

I don't remember that part, but I did agree to be informed when book on hold becomes available, so perhaps they counted that.
