dicksonpa: Which Kobo WiFi do you have, N647, N647B, or 289? Once we know that we can send you the correct file so you can write the image file onto the internal SD card.

Hello David,

I believe the image you provided, named "2nd copy SD image - Kobo N647B working 30.11.2014.img", is for a Kobo N647B. I will not boot my Kobo, which is a model N647 without the B at the end. Do you happen to have an image for my (older I believe) model?

My N647 can't see my books after today's firmware "upgrade".

May I please have the link to the old firmware image?

Hello, I hope I'm posting this in the right place. Last night I turned on my Kobo, and when I turned it off, it restarted. It showed a page saying "Updating the software on your e-reader", and then the homepage, saying "No books found". I was not even connected to wifi at this time. I tried turning off and on again a few times. I tried a basic reset. I tried a factory reset. The books appear in the Kobo folder when I plug it in to the computer, but not on the Kobo. After the factory reset, I get an error message from Calibre saying, "Error communicating with device", the reason given is "unable to open database file". I tried using Kobo Desktop and got an error saying 'library is full, remove books and come back'. Under Device Info, the space for 'Onboard Storage' is blank.

If I'm understanding this thread right, I can reset the firmware to an earlier version, yes? If someone could direct me to instructions on how to do this I would be very grateful.

It is a Kobo Wireless N289. Software Version is 1.9.12 (10/16/14)
