A cup of Vietnamese Lotus Chun Mee, the last one from this sample?
![]() Oh, it is so important to not overdose or oversteep green tea. I don't drink beer at all but the video is hilarious ![]() Last edited by astra; 01-15-2011 at 12:08 PM. |

I add a half teaspoon of sugar to strong black tea to minimize the bitterness.

I have to have sugar in my tea, either iced or hot. Doesn't have to be much, in iced, but I find in hot I use more. However, I think I'm going to pick up a package of raw sugar today to use for that, instead of the refined stuff.
Other sweets, not so much. I don't like candy, can't have chocolate, and most pastries don't tempt me much unless they have fruit in them. Even then, though, I don't want them often. I am so glad that someone (I think it's Banquet, but I'm too lazy to go look) has come up with fruit pies in pot pie size. Perfect for one, and no waste. |

I love sweets! (My mom is a baker, so no surprise there.) For a long time I didn't put anything in my tea. I now use a teaspoon of honey in herbal teas, and a teaspoon of sugar in black teas.

Drinking a cup of TG amaretto rooibush for desert. A tad heavy on the amaretto flavoring - not sure I can taste the rooibush component.
Fortunately I have a rooibush samplet winging its way to me. [Or sliding over the ice - depending which UPS hub is handling it.] |

![]() We're all in our places With bright smiling faces! Good morning to you! ![]() Starting a bright, cold Sunday with a mug of my new Ahmad's English #1 and a plate of home made scones. It's late... just past 9 but we slept in this morning. Only woke up because of a craving for tea and scones, I guess. Not a bad reason to wake up! ![]() Stitchawl |

A cup of honey lemon rooibos. I'm hoping it'll help my cough and congestion.
![]() Pooh, you're right about UPS and the ice. I'm out of k-cup coffee for my keurig because I ordered from Amazon as usual, then the ice storm hit. I've gotten two notices informing me that weather conditions have interfered with delivery of my order. I may buy some tomorrow somewhere to tide me over, but it's usually much cheaper to order from Amazon with the subscribe-and-save feature. |

It's a good thing the tea was so good, cuz I really screwed up the scones. They looked AND tasted rather like triangular hockey pucks.
![]() Starting a second up of tea, this time the Fortnum & Mason Ceylon, and a second batch of scones. Perhaps this time I'll remember to add the baking powder, the cream of tarter, and the salt. ![]() Stitchawl |

I found one I like!! I made the "cream" sample of the black tea from Adagio, and added milk and sugar. YUM!!! Very sweet and creamy, smells great. Everything I was hoping it would be.
