Oh, and Cat, as to your pole question, you're really too young to have to know the answer to that!!

Just had a quick visit from the Terrible couple. I could see in my mom's eyes the desire to clean this place up - even though I have been playing domestic goddess for hours in the past days! Moms will be moms, that's why we love them!

They brought me a ton of fresh vegetables from the garden...yum!

LOL! My mom, from her hospital bed a few weeks before dying, paid a housekeeper to clean my house! She said it was to let me have the whole weekend to study (finishing degree that semester), but I just know it was because she didn't want to meet God while knowing that my place was a mess!

Hehe. That's almost as bad as stepping out of your front door to check the mail, get hit by a car, and while you're stepping through the pearly gates you go "oh my, i left my front door open!"

You think that's bad, I'm 50 and have grown children of my own but whenever my mom calls and asks me what I'm doing, I tell her cleaning, cooking or doing laundry. She would hate to hear that I'm actually just sitting around reading. I do do all those things, just not as much as my mother thinks I should!!

more like a personal condition that i used to suffer from

as of now, I only have my tv hooked to a dvd player. no cable, no dish, no local, nothing. which is why i want an ebook reader so bad, so I can veg out and read all night long

Thanks for the well wishes; definitely better. Good thing too- am about to finish my first wk back, and kids come Mon! Yikes!

Thanks for the happy wishes, kaz! It's been a good start so far! You should be careful though; just when you are comfortably jobless, some 1st year teacher will go postal and they'll be banging on your door!

Zelda- I met someone at the dog show. She was holding my left arm. Everyone was acting normal so I tried to be nonchalant. (I *really* need to find that collection!!! I'm having delayed withdrawal!)

Hey, this thread is now 1 year old!! How cool is that?!?
