What are you currently writing? - Page 44

Two main projects these days:

Wrapping up the first draft of a short story that will probably grow a whole lot bigger. Basic plot: Ghost Hunters type paranormal show that never finds anything spooky gets involved in a demon inspired murder mystery.

Stuck in decision purgatory over the sequel to my novel. I've got about 50k words invested in the project and I'm not sure if I want to break them into two books, or leave them combined.

I'm polishing the steampunk western The Burning Sky, which will be published in the next couple of weeks.

I'm drafting its swashbuckling sequel,The Broken Sword, which will be published around June.

I'm drafting a short story, The Lotus Demon, to kick off a series of shorts or novellas about a pair of scholars wandering India (in a style similar to the series Mushi-shi).

And yes, I work on all three every day.

I'm expanding a short story I wrote into a full length novella, GS Lyman, Accidental Master of the Unknown..

YK Greene- Interestingly, my story also involves the four horsemen, though I imagine my take on them is somewhat different than yours.

I write content and maintain a few blogs. That is where I am focusing my writer. No novel or books.

I'm working on a story called "Cougars, Tigers & Bears: The Playground". However I am considering changing the title, I just learned that the word "Bears" has a reference to somethings that has nothing to do with the content of my book. It may be misleading. I am stuck on another project that I have zero motivation in completing right now; actually make that two.

I'm currently writing a mystery dealing with a kidnapping and the sex slave trade. This will be my second novel and kind of a personal nanowrimo. Started about a week ago and hoping to finish in about two to three weeks. Currently unemployed so trying to take advantage of the time. Writing an average of 3000 words a day so hopefully I'll make it.

Also working on revising a first draft of an apocalyptic novel.

Gotta finish the first two before starting up on the other ideas.

I started working on a story that I hadn't planned to write, at least not yet. It just sort of popped out of me. It's a sequel to Tesla's Stepdaughters.

That book is a sort of steampunk story set in a world where most men were wiped out by germ warfare. It is a detective story in which one of the few remaining men, a detective... must find out who's trying to kill the world's greatest rock band.

The new book is a story of the same detective. Now some of the few men are being killed, possibly by a serial killer, and he must investigate. Right now the name is Sons of Armageddon.

I recently finished the working draft of the sequel to Verdant Skies... hope to have it proofed and finalized by summer. I'm presently taking a break to assist on promoting Read an E-Book Week 2011.
