Got it right this time, bookmarked
Thanks SO much for posting that! I just bought the same SanDisk Ultra 32GB UHS-I/Class 10 Micro SDHC yesterday for $15.99. I just spoke with Amazon customer service. Since it hasn't shipped yet, they simply changed the price on the invoice to $12.99, and the change went through instantly.

It takes any micro SDHC up to 64 GB. Just make sure you get one that says "micro".

Do you ever get close to filling that up?

I use my card mainly for music storage. I have a lot of albums on the 16 GB card in my Nokia 520 right now, and I've only used 2 GB! I don't listen to audiobooks, read e-books, or need to store documents on the phone.

I'm just curious what types of files other people store on their cards. Perhaps I'm overlooking some uses.

I've never filled more than 16GB card so I am debating what I need right now I have one of those but it's not a new high speed one though it's sandisk. Does it really make a difference I wonder?

I suppose card speed would make a difference if you're watching a movie/video stored on the card, but I'm not sure how that works. I've never tried it.

Thanks, Monkey, but I wasn't thinking of the amount of memory but rather the physical size. (Micro or mini? Is that what they call them?)

On my Nook HD+'s I rooted, I use the microSD card for storing backups, both of apps+data (using Titanium Backup) and full system backups. I actually filled a 16GB card up easily, and have to delete a system backup before I can make a new one nowadays. Since my full system backups are now 4GB+, filling the card isn't hard. It would help if Titanium Media Sync had a setting that let it sync to the FTP I setup for it and not delete the files that aren't on the tablet. To keep the backups in sync I have to leave them on the tablet, or move the files on the server to a different directory so they won't be wiped. I'm seriously considering upgrading to a 32GB card for the main tablet. (One is basically a backup I don't use unless needed, the other I use daily.) I also would like more space to transfer files from Dad's PC to mine occasionally, so I may actually go for a 64GB one.

Backups are probably one of the biggest space eaters, followed by video files. I put some movies on Dad's phone for him and only a handful fills his microSD card up. I believe his is only an 8GB card though.

Card speed is mostly a concern for video, but will also be noticeable if you download large amounts of data onto the card. For instance, if you want to clean up your music library so you delete all of your music and then download the entire library back onto it. A high-speed card will write that data faster and the process will take less time.

Still, not something that many people will experience. For ebooks and music I go for cheaper cards, which are usually slower.

Thanks I think If If needed I will just swap out my 16GB on my SGP4.2 to it then. Seeing all my Music is on Amazon Music I don't see me using the Nokia for more than streaming and a PIM. So might not even need a SD Card on that but I might need it for my LG Volt.
