I took kobo WiFi n647 apart, the internal microsd might be corrupted. Could you show me how to repartition a new SD card?

Hello David,

I have a kobo WiFi N647 that I wanted to put back into service after a long while. After it did an update over the air by itself, I could not get it to show any books, which seem to be indicative of a bad firmware update. I had kept a SD card from another model that had the screen broken, but it does not want to boot with that SD card. I short: I am in need of an image for the N647 model. Many thanks in advance.

I have an old Kobo N647 (I think) which is giving me problems lately. I have the same problem described in the original post where my Kobo says there are no books found (even though I can see that there are books there when I connect to my laptop). I've tried a factory reset which did nothing.

Can someone please send me the link to the SD image before I throw this thing in the garbage? Thanks in advance!

Most aren't actually bricking. The last firmware update has a problem that means the books aren't seen by the device. The only known fix is to restore the image. As far as I can tell, the updated doesn't fail after that.

For those that are actually bricking, or failing in ways other than the above, I'd say the important word is "old".
