The heck?! I bought it at Kobo with a coupon also, and more than $0.99 too. At the rate it's going, Redesigned will go down to $0.99 as well, almost 50% less than what I paid for it at Kobo. Just you wait ...

I just found a book I want really badly. Come the Night by Christina Skye. I've been waiting forever to get my hands on it but it's $3.99 and the second book in the series is 99 cents so I am going buy the second book and wait for the first to come down in price or borrow it come July from the Lending Library.

I am really impatient when it comes to book buying these days. I use to just add to my wishlist and wait sometimes for a year and now here I am hitting buy every time I must have something I wont even read in the next month. It's different if I can get a really good deal on it though.

It's SO hard not to use those coupons or nab a good deal though!

That said, and I know it isn't Sunday yet, I haven't bought even one book this week! I leaned my lesson last time and am saving up my Kobo coupons until the dead end of the contest though, so I'm sure I will make up for it next week.

This! I was able to nab a couple of really good codes from the Kobo thread and I used them on books that were both on my wishlist and recently released, never thinking they would drop in price so soon at Amazon.

Falling Into Us (sequel to Falling Into You) is now available at both Amazon and Kobo but for $4.99 This is one time I will be waiting .... and waiting.

I'm like that now as well but I think it's the contest codes that causing the problem for me. I feel this urgency to buy while the codes are good. I will have to curb this and go back to my patient staring down of anything over $2.99

I agree with ALL your posts [Blossom, nixlappy, Loosheesh], not even gonna try and quote them all. In my defense, I DID wait to buy it because I wanted it the DAY it came out and I've been waiting since then, but the darn kobo codes made me do it!

As proof of my patience, I STILL haven't bought Tangled!

As proof of my patience, a book I had on my wishlist for 3 years just showed up at the library. It's one of those pricey ones too.

I been adding as many books and authors to the ereaderiq tracking. I also use the chrome add on to watch for price reductions. I have been adding a lot of backlist authors, so when any of their books go down in price, I get an email.

I look at a book, I click the add on and it puts it on the watchlist.

I try to be more patient now. Its not like I don't have anything to read.

Not that any of that is keeping me from hitting the one click button though.

It can go either way. Sometimes I buy a book and later it goes on sale. Half the time it is still in my TBR pile and I think "Wish I had waited."

But then there have been books on sale I think I don't want/need that one. And later I really do want to read it and think "I should have gotten that book while it was on sale"

And then there's the "I knew I should have gotten that book when I had a good coupon code" times.

Personally, I never buy anything at "retail" price, ever. I learned from the world of PC gaming and the digital market there, that everything always goes on sale eventually, and that this is why we have wish lists. You may have to wait for several months, maybe several years, but it will become either free or nearly free if you wait long enough.

And while I wait, I read the free ones in my TBR pile to pass the time.

I justify paying full price for my autobuy authors to have them on release day. But then my autobuy list is much, much shorter now than it was a decade ago.

I have enough books in my TBR "pile" I probably never need to buy another book. But where's the fun in that

It looks like the Simon & Schuster books are now eligible for discounts at All Romance ebooks. I put a Linda Howard book in the cart and was able to use a coupon. Not all of the books are discountable (yet). Some authors backlist I see that are: Kresley Cole, Meredith Duran, Liz Carlyle, Jude Deveraux.

Hopefully, this means that the other publishers will start allowing discounts at ARE (and other digital ebookstores.
