OK one Bell's Hopslam and I am drunk. I love this stuff but should only drink it with a full stomach. If you live in the US and enjoy good beer look for this stuff. It is only out for a few weeks and a very limited release but it is so good.

![]() I became so curious I even asked Astra about pur-eh; and got a lot of good info. I also love the choice of words that describes the different tea's and their exotic names. It makes me have visions of me, reclining on a heavenly sofa somewhere far away...............with lots of servants, only for me, and fans made out of ostrich feathers. ![]() |

![]() Trying to be respectful, for my mother's sake. It's not a cloak I wear well. But though I was silent on the net, I still drank a heck of a lot of tea, all of it black and strong, all of it tasting just the way I like tea to taste... no milk, no sugar, no extra flavors. Just tea. ![]() DesertBlues, Dreams... I think it's time to face up to the fact that we already have you. Assimilation into the collective is a given. Resistance is futile. We are tea. ![]() Stitchawl |

![]() I am different from ProfCrash. She is very experienced in teas, I am barely above the newbie level. Let's say greenhorn or maybe as high as beginner ![]() ![]() I started to investigate in October 2010? when I realised I drink 6 cups of black tea - Yorkshire Gold in bags. I thought it is too much of black tea dust. I started to drink horrible fruit teas in tea bags and whining about it over here. kindlekitten lost her patience with me and ask why do I keep pushing myself and drink tea I hate. Guess what. I re-read 2 of your posts. One about rooibos another about mate and it started ![]() Because of lack of experience I have no choice but try. Just like ProfCrash said it is hit and miss. I wanted to try rooibos? I went to NBTea website and they have 12? What could I do? I ordered a sample collection ![]() ![]() Later, when I visited Bath and its tea shop/room and he seller mentioned the word Mate, I flared up! I knew what he was talking about! I was so happy ![]() ![]() Have you noticed how much you influenced my tea drinking style/habit? Then I wanted to investigate green teas. Again. NBTea--->green tea sample collection---> 3 batches. Green tea from Japan, From China, from Other Origin (this is where Vietnam chimes in ![]() All green teas were the same for me. I had to try all of them to decide which ones I like or whether they are all the same and different names is only a marketing trick? I received 24 samples. I loved 3 of them more than the rest: Sencha - Japan Dragon Well and White Monkey - China To investigate a bit more is Bancha and Bancha Houjicha? My life is easy now with green teas ![]() ![]() Quote:

As long as you enjoy it, don't give up ![]() They had two green teas from Vietnam. Vietnamese Sencha and Vietnamese Lotus Chun Mee. I liked the latter, good green tea but IIRC Vietnamese Sencha was one of the few that I didn't like at all. ![]() ![]() Quote:
![]() Welcome back. I am truly glad to have you back with us! Duly noted ![]() While typing this, I finished my second cuppa. Assam Mangalam. Water for now will do ![]() Last edited by astra; 01-13-2011 at 05:04 AM. |

Just tea for me.
No sugar, nice fat mug and minimal milk for a strong taste. Yum. |
