I hit a batch of black ice about 8 or 9 years ago and got into an accident. Very scary. Thankfully, no one was hurt apart from scrapes and bruises.

Hacked an inch of ice off my car. Made it to work through slush & sleet & standing water. Many roads are flooding with the rain b/c the ice has blocked the drains. Temps hovering around freezing. Home early today. The whole mess will re-freeze tonight!

The parking lot at work had melted/refrozen and will like an ice rink when I arrived this morning...

Made it home safely - all that lovely water is freezing fast! Neighborhood streets are still slushy - now freezing into ruts! Did a semi-controlled spin on my last turn into my street.
Late start tomorrow - let all the black ice warm up & all the fools spin out into the ditch.
