VCat, you would have had the opposite reaction to Ryleigh's soccer days (she was 5 at the time).

When she would miss the goal or an opponent would steel the ball, she would throw a temper tantrum in the middle of the field.

Thankfully, she only jumped up and down, stamped her feet and cried. I was terrified she would run after the other player and do him/her bodily injury. That's something you learn to do when your siblings are much older!

We stopped signing her up to play soccer when she told us she only wanted to go to practice and not have to participate in the actual game. She felt that there was too much running back and forth from one goal to the other.

Drinking lemonade, waiting on Chris to get home, thinking about what I'm making him for dinner (chicken nuggets and french fries), and wondering how I got myself into the current mess. You see, I did some computer and filing work for a lady a couple of years ago. I no longer work for her, but we keep in touch occasionally. She called this morning, wanting me to design a time sheet for her in Excel. I did that, she paid me for it, and then asked would I be interested in putting some expense receipts in another spreadsheet for her. I said "Yeah, sure" and she dug out a whole bag full! I've gotten receipts from one store from March to present done - leaving at least three more to be done, but there is no organization to this at all, I'm having to go through, separate by store and then by month. She's gonna owe me...

Let's see... at this moment, I am simultaneously reading a "hot pick" (a one week checkout book) that is due tomorrow and I started it today (it's a pbook.... our library *really* needs to pick better ebooks!), cooking dinner, and trying to brave myself for the big splash back into MR! I have missed it during my various little travels! I'm scared there's been some big psock type adventure and I'm on the outs though... what did I miss??

Our last bit of lawn was nature-strip - officially not even our property. We put paid to that quite a few months ago, so now we've nothing but (low-maintenance) garden (mostly palms, and indigenous trees).

wow !!! those kids are amazing ! if all football games were like that, i would watch more of them !

I just gave blood. My company has the local bloodmobile come by every few months. I wish more people would do it

I sign up every time and really enjoy it.

I had a blood test this morning - boy, that needle stung!

I've often thought about giving blood, and carrying a donor card; but the health service here are pretty vague on what they use your bits and pieces for. Trying to get meaningful information out of them is like getting blood out of a stone

i hate getting blood tests, i've got a prescription for one which is over 6 months old because i just can't dig up the courage to take an appointment. luckily for me, i'm ineligible to give blood (you must be at least 50kilo).
