After what seemed like 5 longs months of inactivity, I finally picked up the card and started reading. Or tried to, anyway, as the printing on the card appeared to be in pSpanish.

It did not help, either, that my memory of this case was somewhat lost in the mists and veils of time. That and a quantity of the finest whisky from the deepest of Scottish Glens.

Now I remember (sheesh! why am I wet - och! must be the shower I've just walked out of), it was that Dame.

Did she send me a parcel, my memory is not too clear - perhaps something will prompt it sometime soon.

I knew I should not have even let that thought cross my mind, as soon as I thought it. I quickly threw back another shot of Scotch, as the door exploded open. I knew it! I just knew it! Why and how do I get myself into this stuff? I decided that last shot needed a companion and quickly poured another down my throat. I slammed the bottle down, opened my eyes, and felt my stomach trying to beat the Scotch down. Waving her arms around and screeching something at me; it was HER!. I think I heard "wig" and "blonde" in there somewhere. I decided I needed to clear my head a bit, maybe just a quick bang or two on the desk. It has to be that bottle of expensive Scotch playing tricks with my mind.

The next thing I know, I am being shoved back in my chair and I look up to see HER. It wasn't a Scotch induced nightmare! There she was (and still screeching at me).

"Wig! Wig!," she yelled.

I yawned and opened a drawer in my table and removed a revolver.

She sat looking at me as I lifted it up and pointed it (the revolver) at a mirror, which hung on the opposite wall of the office.

And then she batted those baby blues in my direction, but this time they had no effect on me. Other than a curious burning sensation in the back of my neck.

I resisted the temptation to turn, but I could feel the hackles rise on my neck as the sensation intensified.

I fired the revolver and it smashed the mirror; taking advantage of the distraction, I quickly kicked my chair backwards as I launched myself in the opposite direction, and noticed a smell of burning hair pervade the room.
