Meridian by Alice Walker is $1.99 at Amazon US.

It's been twenty years since I read it originally, but I remember liking it very much. Memory says it was my favorite of her novels I've read.

Not reduced in the US, but I already own and read it anyway. I wonder if this heralds a 9th book in the series coming soon?

Well, the third one was on the Daily Deal not too long ago too, so maybe it heralds a new one. Still, it's sort of hard to imagine what logic leads them to put #3 and then #7 on sale...
