I did that soon after I bought my Echo speaker. It was set to 10001 in NYC and I changed it to 10019. Weather.com used to use 10001 for all Manhattanites, although I enter my own zip in the hope of getting the most accurate weather info.

Echo is going to get an SDK for development of third-party apps.

The retailer revealed the news in an email to Echo users today. “For those who want to help shape Echo’s future, the team is working on an SDK to help hobbyist and enthusiast developers create new apps and experiences,” the message said. The email also included a link to a signup page where developers and other interested parties can submit their email and ask to be notified of the SDK's beta test as well as any local events.

They didn't me they just said they would forward it to the developer.

I left feedback again, and they gave me a workaround!

As a workaround, you can stream audio from a mobile device (such as a phone or tablet) to Amazon Echo over a Bluetooth connection. To learn more about Bluetooth on Amazon Echo, go to:

I don't know how this will sound, but I will Bluetooth from my Fire and let you know.

That's always been an option and I've been doing it since I first got my Echo last November. It's a great Bluetooth speaker and you can't tell the difference between using it and not using it.

Didn't work for me. It kept cutting in and out. I moved the Fire closer, but it still happened.

If you can bluetooth it from your phone, sure. But it's not listed as an app.
