Err! Um!!! I'm assuming here that you are female that would make it difficult for us guy's to stay focussed on anything else !

I meant the bouncing of my head of course. But yes, definitely female.

Men ... *sigh*

On the news they showed a guy reading his kindle while he drove the city bus.

Just finished The Passage, excellent read. For those of you who think its just another vampire book think again it isn't. One review called it a mix of The Stand & I Am Legend.
I saw an interview with the author where he mentioned that there will be 2 more books, during the interview Stephen King phoned in to say he loved the book. Can't wait for the sequels.

Thanks for the info. I love long novels--if they're good!

For any interested Kindlers, here's the first volume.

Here's a quote from the author's bio, which I think is amazing.

Does anybody know if this in in Topaz format? I notice that the Kindle description doesn't give a page count, and the ones I've ordered without a page count have been Topaz...

I downloaded a sample to be sure, but it is azw. You have your stats backwards, though. Topaz books don't show file size, they only show page count. Books that only show file size have always been azw in my experience.

They don't work for you? Have you tried pressing the "play" button? Perhaps they will work better then.

You're right, I had it backwards.

I bought a Topaz book the other day without meaning to. ("The Spanish Bow")

I really don't like Topaz, and it's a pain in the neck to convert. It can be done, but it's a pain in the neck.

I'm reading Identity Crisis by Debbie Mack. I'll be reviewing that eventually on Digital Spotlight. Pretty good so far.

I'm nearing halfway through H. Rider Haggard's "She." I really enjoyed "King Solomon's Mines" so I downloaded Vol. II of Harry's omnibus (it also is one of my 1001 books).

I'm about 11% into Butcher Bird by Richard Kadrey-- downloaded it a while ago with Grey (which I read this past Sunday and loved). It's fun so far!
