i'm sorry to hear that, bilbo. times are certainly hard lately. my clients also are all looking to save money, sometimes they try to pay me less, sometimes they decide not to pay me at all anymore. good luck/.

Ladies and gentlemen, the anti-managerial homicidal mob will be forming to the right of the blue one next to the fish in five minutes. If you will select a burning torch or pitchfork and line up in groups of twenty, we'll be on our way shortly.

Thank you.

Q: How many managers does it take to change a lightbulb?

A: None (They don't actually do any real work, they delegate that to someone else )

Well, let's see. I am getting my day started by reading the forum.
Next is brekky. Bacon and Eggs I hope. Not sure I have any bacon.
Next is loading up a trip to the dump. Got a bunch of reno demo garbage.
Next is loading up my oldest son and we are off to my folks place once again to help with some more renos.

Plan to have this all done in less than 3 1/2 hours. Here's hoping...

So far I've, fed the cats, walked the dogs, fed the dogs, mowed the lawn along the drive, done a load of laundry, and the breakfast dishes (the cats, not mine, my breakfast consists of cereal bars with fruit filling and a cold Coke).

Now, I'm trying to cool down a little so I can hop in the car and drive down to Bee Cave (I assume at one time there was a cave full of bees there, but now it's just the name of a town) to deposit some checks and purchase some pet supplies.

Supposed to be around 105 again today. Because it get's the hottest around 5:00pm, I'm really trying to have anything even remotely requiring me to go outside done before 1:00. Yesterday's constant trips out to the garage were good grounds for passing out.

Waiting for time to take Chris to work, before I commence the weekly distribution of owed funds to various and sundry merchants around town. After budget recalculation following that exercise, then I get to go choose a pair of jeans for my husband, who is down to two pair of work jeans. All the while repeating "NO" to a son who insists money is for spending - on him!

I installed a new motherboard yesterday. It slows down the computer when I'm using it for less power hungry tasks. So now I spend all my time sitting and watching how much CO2, I'm saving. It's ridiculous, but addictive at the same time.

Currently beginning the redesign of all the book covers I've got on Feedbooks because I lost all the source files in a HD crash and the backup was corrupted.

that sounds like the kind of thing i would do. i bet you'll save even more CO2 that way, since watching the graphic can't be very ressource intensive !

oh no !! that's terrible. there must be some sort of fiendish computer monster who waits until the precise moment you're making a back up and chooses *then* to crash everything, just for the added irony. i'm so sorry. farking computers ! (mine is still giving me grief too so believe me i'm very sympathetic to your woes.)
