Unfortunately, it isn't as simple as that. See Memory Upgrade Mod Guide for some instructions. They are for the Glo, but the basic steps and tools are the same.

Thank you my friend, I just flashed the image and everything is working fine. Can you add downloaded epubs just by connecting it in the computer? or is it more complicated than that?

Good to hear it is working. And yes, you can just copy the books to the device. They can be in the root directory or you can create a directory. The main thing is not to use a directory whose name starts with a dot.

Of course, I highly recommend calibre for book management.

I have a N289, which is not showing up as a USB device and when I switch it on, it shows "Updating the software on your eReader". could some one please help with the fix for both the software and why it is not showing up as a USB device.

I assume it never actually finished updating the firmware. If so, that is why it s not seen by the computer, these types of devices have to be running for that.

The fix should be to do a factory reset. This can be done using the buttons, but I can never remember the method for the WiFi. A search here should find it. If that doesn't help, then restoring an image to the internal SD card will probably fix it. I can send you a PM with the link, but you need to enable PMs for your account.

Hello, I'm new in Kobo affairs. Could you pls send me a Kobo touch 2.0 image? I tried to do a wifi upgrade and it crash. When I look to SD card directory its empty with 4Mb free . I think that I need to recover it from scratch. Thank you in advance.
