I don't know about HTML but I have MS Word Documents on my 350 and they look just fine. I have a bunch of crochet, knitting & tatting patterns on MS Word. It's one of the things I love about my Sony. I'm sorely disappointed if they don't support Word anymore. Especially after my hubby made me sell my backup 350!!! grrr

The PRS-T1 appears to leave little to no space between its back and the cover. This may exclude clip-on lights like the travelflex.

There are many images of the bottom. It is bevelled / receding and flush with the case. Images of the top are hard to find. The one image of the top in the case appears to leave space, but I suspect it is bevelled / receding like the base.

I consider this a huge plus. All the covers I've seen (And the one I have) for the Nook Touch are way to bulky.

I always fold the cover back and don't have any problem attaching a clip on.

Normally I clip my travelflex onto the rear cover of the case. Because the 650 is held on a hinge, there is plenty of space to do this. However, the T1 does not use a hinge, but 4 corner 'hooks'. These appear to offer little give unlike the 650 mechanism. I wonder if a clip could find room between the back of the ereader and the case. If not, where can one attach it?

There is no space between the ereader and the back of the cover. I couldn't even figure out how to remove it. You might clip on to the front cover folded back, or onto the reader and cover, which combined are still quite thin. But CAD$40 is a lot for a case, although it does look very nice.

Wireless N at what frequency?

802.11n specifies operation at both 2.4 GHz. and 5 GHz. Will Sony support both? The Nook Touch only supports 2.4 GHz., which has been rather a pain for me. Will the new Sony do better?

Actually, I have confirmed on this Spanish forum that the Sony T1 doesn't support either LRF or RTF. Somebody from a Spain-based store have a Sony PRS-T1 given to him by Sony in order to write a review and he is answering questions. Also, he says that he is 100% sure the ereader is Android based, although he doesn't have any official word about it.

Sony Library converts .doc files for you, if you have MS Word installed.
Reader itself only supports RTF.

They already have these details on sonystyle:

Media Formats Supported
DRM Text : ePub (OPS v2.0, .epub file extension, Adobe DRM protected), PDF (PDF v1.6 or before, .pdf file extension, Adobe DRM protected)
Image : JPEG, PNG, GIF, BMP
Unsecured Audio : Unsecured Audio: MP3 (Non encrypted), AAC (Non encrypted)
Unsecured Text : ePub, PDF, TXT

So, yep, neither RTF nor LRF (BBEB).

I don't have a Blackberry/Smartphone/whatever and have sometimes put my travel itineraries on my 650 as an RTF file. I suppose with the T1 I'd either have to use txt (which can be ugly looking) or convert the RTF file to Epub?

A better way is perhaps to use a PDF printer to create a PDF with the page size set properly for a 6" screen.

Using google translate, that guy on the Spanish forum seems to state that he has tested RTF and that it works. He said he has not tested LRF.

The Google translation must be wrong. I'm quoting him in Spanish:

Quote:
He probado .RTF y no lo lee, sí tengo tiempo a ver si consigo algún LRF ahora o sino lo miro lo antes posible.
Into English:
Quote:
I have tested RTF and it doesn't read it. If I have time I'm going to see if I get a LRF now or otherwise I will test it as soon as posible
Since he apparently was unable to get a LRF file by himself, I attached a LRF file to a message I asked him to try to read it on the T1. He answered me in Spanish:

Quote:
Primero, muchas gracias por el archivo, pero por desgracia no lo lee.
Into English

Quote:
First, thank you very much for the file, but unfortunately it doesn't read it.

Thank you for that information and certainly no thanks to Sony for leaving previous customers high and dry yet again. I'll see if I can pick up a 350 cheaply. Has Sony (or Adobe) at least improved the display of epubs?
