The PRS-T1 appears to leave little to no space between its back and the cover. This may exclude clip-on lights like the travelflex.
There are many images of the bottom. It is bevelled / receding and flush with the case. Images of the top are hard to find. The one image of the top in the case appears to leave space, but I suspect it is bevelled / receding like the base. |

I always fold the cover back and don't have any problem attaching a clip on. |

Normally I clip my travelflex onto the rear cover of the case. Because the 650 is held on a hinge, there is plenty of space to do this. However, the T1 does not use a hinge, but 4 corner 'hooks'. These appear to offer little give unlike the 650 mechanism. I wonder if a clip could find room between the back of the ereader and the case. If not, where can one attach it?

There is no space between the ereader and the back of the cover. I couldn't even figure out how to remove it. You might clip on to the front cover folded back, or onto the reader and cover, which combined are still quite thin. But CAD$40 is a lot for a case, although it does look very nice.

Wireless N at what frequency?
802.11n specifies operation at both 2.4 GHz. and 5 GHz. Will Sony support both? The Nook Touch only supports 2.4 GHz., which has been rather a pain for me. Will the new Sony do better?

Actually, I have confirmed on this Spanish forum that the Sony T1 doesn't support either LRF or RTF. Somebody from a Spain-based store have a Sony PRS-T1 given to him by Sony in order to write a review and he is answering questions. Also, he says that he is 100% sure the ereader is Android based, although he doesn't have any official word about it. Last edited by thebestjeter; 10-02-2011 at 03:06 AM. |

I don't have a Blackberry/Smartphone/whatever and have sometimes put my travel itineraries on my 650 as an RTF file. I suppose with the T1 I'd either have to use txt (which can be ugly looking) or convert the RTF file to Epub?

A better way is perhaps to use a PDF printer to create a PDF with the page size set properly for a 6" screen.

Using google translate, that guy on the Spanish forum seems to state that he has tested RTF and that it works. He said he has not tested LRF.

Thank you for that information and certainly no thanks to Sony for leaving previous customers high and dry yet again. I'll see if I can pick up a 350 cheaply. Has Sony (or Adobe) at least improved the display of epubs?
