And I make a lot more money outside of Academia.
OK so the Lupicia Sencha is good. I will actually drink more of it. It reminds me more of a Bancha then a Sencha but that could just be where it was picked. Good stuff. |

You are trying some Greens that surprise me. I have never heard of a Green Assam, Darjeeling, or Ceylon. I know that the only difference between a Green and Black tea is how it is processed but it is still weird to see teas that traditionally think of as Black teas called Green teas.
Good but weird. |

That's why I left those 3, Green Assam, Darjeeling, or Ceylon, to the very end because I find it odd ![]() When I tried the last two samples, I will have to drink all of the samples sooner or later before I order anything that I really like. Although, I have got Sencha Uji 2x100 gr bags. It so different from all of them that I wanted to have it anyway. The better 2/3s also loved it, so even if I am going to finish all the samples, she might want something sweet ![]() I am sure that from China selection it will be Dragon Well and White Monkey. I want to give more attention to two Banchas. Bancha and Bancha Houjicha (it good you don't speak Russian. Houjicha sounds quite naughty... ![]() Houjicha is different from the rest of greens. I was not addicted, but she loved it because it was so different (apparently she doesn't learn from her past mistakes --- not everything that is very different (not going to point a finger) is good for her ![]() Well, I am off for today. Gotta make/run another mile to meet my preciousss, After that, a shower and off to bed with a cup of Lapacho for drinking and The Amber Spyglass for reading ![]() |

You got me!
Still here, off in a sec. For green teas, I ordered their sample collection at Nothing But Tea Lapacho here as well. For Pu-Erh and some others (different Assam types, different Mate types, Keemun) at Teahouse Emporium See you tomorrow! |

Cranberry tea, and then I'm off to go read! I was hoping to get this article done today, but too many things got in the way... as usual. I'm off to rest my brain with a good book.

Ever since I started this tea adventure, I've been wanting a clear glass cup or mug. Do y'all have any idea how hard it is to find those anymore? You used to practically trip over them. But it took me going all over town, to finally find one... at Walmart.

![]() I think I'll go outside a while An jus' smile Just take in some clean fresh air boy Ain't no sense in stayin' inside If the weather's fine an' you got the time ![]() Piping hot English Breakfast tea from Taylors of Harrogate, miso soup, rice, and sliced goboden... What a good beginning to a new day! Say Astra... That 'Houjucha' might just be a transliteration for 'Ujucha.' The word "cha" is Japanese for tea. Stitchawl |
