I think it's amazing that the US scored 2 goals and only lost by 1 point in an international venue.

Z-chan, hopefully by now you've had a good night's sleep, and I'm sure your friend will forgive you. I might have suggested sending flowers or a bottle of wine along with your regrets, but I don't know what kind of friend this is.

Laz116, that's a cutie of a kitten. Too bad your cat doesn't want to share. But at 22 years (!) I think she's earned a bit of peace. (Maybe the kitten could stay in a bathroom or something for the time being?) Kittens don't usually have so much trouble finding homes as grown cats-- if you post signs looking for the owner, you may well get calls from people looking to adopt if the owner isn't found.

I'm not having much luck staying awake, either. I went to bed at a perfectly reasonable hour, but woke up at 3am and couldn't get back to sleep until about 5:30.

Trying very hard to wake up. A neighbor called me to fix a computer problem at 10:30 last night. I had already taken all of my meds and was already in bed, so I was pretty damn whacked out by the time I got there.

I was up until 1:00, when I got home and crashed. I feel a nap coming on and soon. I just hope it doesn't happen while I'm running around doing errands.

I have a few seriously dry spots on the front lawn (whoever installed the sprinkler system was clinically insane) and they have to supplemented with hose sprinklers. Unfortunately, I ran over one of them yesterday because I forgot it was still in the damn driveway. So, I need a new one.

If you don't hear from me the rest of the day, I'm either (1) dead or (2) asleep.

I did the same thing, without the call from the neighbor. Went to bed at 10:30 which is insanely early for me (we're on second shift hours), and slept til well...now. About 12 hours worth.
I figure I needed it - it was a busy weekend.
