My cat went out in the snow an hour ago. Wonder where she is: probably near the pizzeria on the block.

Have bicycled/walked through the snow with all the groceries. Made a carrot/onion stew for tonight, in the oven.

Since even a dusting of snow paralyzes this city, I can't imagine bicycling in snow. Are the roads cleared enough? Is it icy?

Our country was paralyzed by the snow last evening, and also in our town all traffic came to a stop. By now the mainroads for the cars are clear and also the main bicycleroads for the kids from the neighbouring villages to cycle safely to their school here.

It's early for us to have snow. Some years we don't have much at all.
Like; last year I was in New York in December and I always had this picture of people wading through knee-high snow there. I even thought about taking my snowboots. But our New-York taxidriver said, they also don't have snow every year.

It is a bit icy and I can't cycle everwhere, but it's nice to be outside. That is: with my woolies and good boots, mittens, shawls, vests.

Cat is back from her trip to the pizzeria: sat howling on the stoop in the snow.
