I couldnt finish my last book. I tried really hard but I didnt have the mental and emotional stamina to continue. Fortunately, I have a backup book handy.

Now trying The Price of Butcher's Meat by Reginald Hill.

I am reading right now
New York - A Novel from Rutherford
It is the story of New York from the beginning until today.
The author has setup a fictive family which started in the early 1600 when the first Netherlands made a settlement at the tip of Manhattan and that family lives on through the times, meet all the important persons around history, the war with the Indians, between English and French, the independence war ... right now they start thinking about free the slaves.

that's a really interesting book, that gives a lot of information's for someone, who lives in New York and want to know some of the history without going through the history books.

in style it is made like a book from Mika Waltari.

Currently reading "The Passage". Very dark book like "The Road" but can't put it down. Anyone reading this? What do you think?

Just finished 'Evidence' by Jonathan Kellerman. It's a bit disappointing the way that series has declined

Now am reading a Smashwords book called "Dragonverse" for my next review.

In the process of reading Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, by Seth Grahame-Smith. Fun read, different look at the vampire myth, and a different look at one of the great men of recent history.

I keep hearing that it's pretty dark, so I haven't started it yet. I've got it on my Kindle, but I guess I'm waiting until I need a pretty long, engrossing read. Are you enjoying it?

I checked it out, saw it was a vampire novel and gave it a pass.

I just read The Reluctant Fundamentalist by Mohsin Hamid. I thought it was brilliant. It's beautifully written and I thoroughly recommend it.
