Hi guys, I dont have the flap cover, but I do have the Kobo Glo and Kobo Glo sleepcover with that vertical strap (as opposed to the flap)

It was from the Costco bundle...

Will that work with the Kobo Glo HD?

I am wanting to sell the Glo and upgrade to Glo HD.

That is great, with all the other news today. The official specs says the GLO is 114 x 157 x 10mm and the GLO HD is 115 x 157 x 9.2mm so does that 1mm extra in width make it a tight fit?

The grey hemp one, like a Moleskine? If that fits the new Glo HD I may be in instead of the H2O! Choices

As someone who obsessively searches for new images and videos of forthcoming e-readers I have pre-ordered, I have to say that everything I have seen of the Kobo Glo HD is very promising. That screen is beautiful especially in the Italian review. Yes, I know all e-readers vary in screen quality from device to device. Yes, I know that natural lighting, camera, etc, etc can factor into how the screen looks. But I must say that the screen contrast genuinely and consistently looks good in all videos and pics I have seen. The 300 PPI text really pops in contrast to other devices that the Glo HD is shown next to.

Much more excited about this than I was when I was waiting for the Voyage or Paperwhite release. The $118.24 price with shipping from Chapters doesn't hurt matters either. I can't wait to get my hands on this bad boy!

Is it my imagination or are the non English reviews more intelligent? Maybe the key is not understanding what they are saying

Italian reviewer is talking so fast his lips can' stay in sync?

Back of Glo HD is just like the inner back cover of Kobo Mini only lacking 4 screws, one at each corner. I think the 4 screws make Kobo Mini more rigid design than the Glo HD.

The picture on the web site is wrong, the separate sliders are not coming back.

Considering it's Kobo, I'm really not surprised at that.

There's only been one review in English and it was crap.

It's about the same brightness as in the picture. I checked my friends paperwhite and the paperwhite goes dimmer than the Glo HD. I would say the Glo HD at 1% is similar in brightness to the paperwhite at brightness level 4.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention that feature earlier. It was one of the first things that the software shows you when you turn on the Glo HD and I forgot about it. It's a really neat feature.

The case manufacturers probably have a tolerance level that accommodates the 1mm difference. I really couldn't tell any difference in fit between my Glo and Glo HD in the sleepcover. Maybe it was slightly harder to put the Glo HD into the case but that may be because I'm babying it more than the Glo lol.

How did he get the back off? I watched the video and look at my own device and it doesn't look so easy to take off without having some sort of spudger tool.

Is that light slider a new feature? I think it is really useful!

@jhuynh

Thanks for the comments. You realize you have the only Glo HD in the wild? Lol.

Tell me, do you have the official sleep cover? It's got this flap on the right. Is that hard to hold? Does it fold round easily and flat when your reading? Is the case a good design?

Yeah I realize that my order shipped by accident. It's perfect timing otherwise it would have shipped while I was on vacation!

No I only have the old sleepcover from the Glo. I wasn't planning to buy the official Glo HD sleep cover but I might change my mind.
