After a month or so of working various odds and ends (mostly dead ends

) I re-wrote my poem "Nine Little Rocks" still not sure it's finished, but this is a significant revision from what I had.

I'm working on a fantasy adventure with a little bit of a literary touch, or maybe it's just a fantasy adventure.

I just finished my MFA, for which I wrote a ghost story/mystery. I'm letting that sit a while and plan to return to it and polish it. The fantasy is an idea I was actually working on before school and it's been a pleasure to get back to it.

I'm also editing older works of mine for their e-book release.

I'm trying to strike a balance of new stuff in the a.m. and editing in the evenings.

I'm on the first-round of editing of my third novel. It should be available in ebook form by the end of next month - maybe sooner. I've just sent it off to my editor so it depends on speedy she is. It's the first of a trilogy.

That leaves me to: (1) write the first of a detective series, (2) start the second in the trilogy, (3) finish a novel I started last year, (4) write another book that is way over my head and (5) write a compilation of short stories.

Sigh ...

Oh, yeah, then there's this fantastic movie I thought of - would like to knock out a script for it.

I working out some subplots to complete the second novel in my epic fantasy series.

Sometimes epic makes things easy because you can just flip to another subplot/character but sometimes it makes things hard because sooner or later you have to flesh out the skeletons.

I just finished an 80k historical romance and will be on hiatus until January. It's been a rough year and I need a break. Ideas are still noodling around in my head, but nothing will be written until after the new year.

Working on the latest in my New Orleans suspense thriller series. Police homicide detective Frank Renzi is baffled by the murder of a prominent local businessman in a French Quarter hotel. One shot to the head, execution style.

A shadowy woman is seen in a security video entering and leaving the room, but her face is not visible. This man's murder is linked to the murder of a bartender the following day, again one shot to the head. The same gun fired both shots.

Writing a female killer is something I've always wanted to do. Ah, what bliss to explore my dark side.

I'm writing a mystery novel, centering around a social worker who works with abused children. After languishing for far too long, the first draft will be done this week, and I expect the book to be available for sale (via Kindle, Smashwords, and CreateSpace for those who like dead trees) by the end of November.
