The first three titles in Parker Bilal's Makana mystery series are Nook Daily Finds today at $1.99. I've looked at Kindle US and only the first one is discounted; I reported the other two prices, and hope they will drop before the end of the day. I've read and enjoyed the first two in this series, and am glad to have the chance to get the third at a reasonable price. In the interests of disclosure, I should note that I am a big Egyptophile, so am predisposed to like books set in Egypt

What would happen to the cats now? “Was she driving too fast?”
“Not exactly.” Malone’s voice was serious and grim. “We won’t know until we have a lot more information from the crime lab. It’s too soon to tell, but it may have been a case of road rage. Kitty Bardot was shot.”

Sparkle Abbey is the pseudonym of two mystery authors (Mary Lee Woods and Anita Carter). They are friends and neighbors as well as co-writers of the Pampered Pets Mystery Series. The Pen name was created by combining the names of their rescue pets – Sparkle (Mary Lee’s cat) and Abbey (Anita’s dog). They reside in central Iowa, but if they could write anywhere, you would find them on the beach with their laptops and depending on the time of day, with either an iced tea or a margarita.

I read the The 13th Fellow: A Mystery in Provence by Tracy Whiting a while back as a KU title and really liked it. It was on US Kindle Countdown a while back at $1.99, and now it's on US Kindle Countdown at $0.99 for about 5 more hours (sorry) before going up to $1.99 for an unknown amount of time.
