I'd have to say DVD right now, but it is actually probably a toss up between those and the VHS (I think we have every Disney animated movie released between 1993 and about 2002).

We have no blu-ray discs yet but did just get a blue ray player to replace the xbox that died. Our next step I think will be a digital library with a central server and such, but not sure exactly where to get started. I think I'll spin off a new thread.

I have Bluray and strangely found it a mixed blessing. For normal live video (say a James Bond flick) it improves it some, for stuff that is cartoons like well-done anime (think: Tekkon Kinkreet) it is best; for stuff that is half and half (think: Avatar) it makes the CG stuff stick out more and therefore some of the story feels lost. For normal def Avatar the aliens look "real" enough to forget they are CG and you can just treat them like characters in the story. On Bluray, they tend to look really cartoon-ish...
