I'm very sorry, but I'm not an owner of a KDX anymore (sold it) - I'm back to my trusty old K3wifi. So there won't be news from my side... I noticed I wasn't using the KDX for what I bought it and that I'm better off using the smaller K3.

I have been plagued with copy/paste issues. Now I will have to find it again... There is an older thread that discussed it. They never came to any real conclusions though -- just suggestions...

kindle dx的内核驱动程序支持novatel家的所有网卡，但amazon的软件认的只有：

{ USB_DEVICE(NOVATELWIRELESS_VENDOR_ID, 0x8000) }, /* Novatel E727 */

我现在用的是E725，网络当然就是电信的evdo网络。显然，电信不是免费的，要先办张卡然后把帐号密码 写到无线网卡里，再把网卡插到kindle DX里。
to 8楼：如果你拆过kindle，就会看到无线网卡是个单独的模块，使用标准的mini pci/e接口。
to 9楼：amazon没那么好心，不但不支持非utf-8，还把转码用的iconv库给删了。我是自己重建了这些库，又编了个代理程序转换网页编码，这样amaz on的软件才能识别。
最后补张图，这是在外面拍的，信号比较好。
