As a non-Kindle person, it would be useful to have something identifying the different models in the pix.

Thanks for that, it does show a real improvement, though in this case it's punchier blacks rather than whiter whites. Bah, I'd just got round to dismissing this all as hype and then you show this to change my mind

Thanks. It seems the difference is more noticeable using smaller fonts. Perhaps, it's the same comparing the nook.

Thanks for the comparisons everyone! It looks like I definitely made the right choice upgrading from my K2US!

Like I really needed ti be convinced!

I knew the screen would be better, but I didn't expect such a big difference!! I thought I was only getting better connectivity - no Sprint coverage at my house. Now I see that I am getting a huge improvement on my reading experience too!

I think I will wait for the next generation. Someone who saw a prototype at an E-ink booth a few weeks ago reported that it offered a 50% improvement over Pearl, according to measurements done by their engineers (contrast > 20:1).

Here's another side-by-side comparison of the K2 and K3 displaying the same book. The K3 has a clearly whiter background and blacker text than does the K2, as well as being significantly physically smaller.

Look at the top of the screen on those pictures.
Where's the battery meter, whispernet info and the title of the book? Have they removed this info on the K3?
