Unfortunately you can only use WHS e-book gift vouchers. Even the regular WHS gift vouchers (which are sold on other websites) are not valid to buy e-books.

Which sites need it and what you can do about it is mentioned fairly early, but exactly how to do it comes a bit later. Would be good if someone came up with a list of free/cheap vpn servers in different countries.
