Adrian, given that the Nook is not sold (by B&N) outside the U.S., how do you buy books from Barnes & Noble? As I recall, they used to say on the site that the e-books were only for sale to US customers. Has this been changed? Is there a surcharge to cover VAT etc?

Oh no, as far as I know it's not possible to buy B&N books from here in Norway without some, uh, "trickery" to fool their store.

But I never intended to buy any and was always going to get the books from elsewhere and side load them with Calibre to manage the lot - which btw, is an awesome tool and kudos to the man responsible. It's done an extremely good job of the epub -> mobi conversions I've tried so far.

Thanks for the awesome comparison pictures.

You're right that there are not too much difference between the two screens. Even though I'm tempted to get the new kindle as a second reader since the price is so reasonable, based on your input, I think I'll just wait for the multi-media Android Tablet.

But because of the design, it's not easy to inadvertently turn a page either. I think they spent a lot of time coming up with these.
Thanks for the input Adrian!

One thing I've just noticed; the screen itself on the K3 seems to be less reflective than the Nook. You can see it somewhat in some of the pictures. Holding both of them in my hands and directing spot lights towards them, the K3 defuses the light more.
