All this fascination with reading in the dark, is that why Sony adds so many erotica ebooks to their CONNECT store?

I'm not much a fan of reading in the dark either. But I did use the box on a long bus ride. It was great to carry the reader and when it got dark I was still able to read.

This week, to celebrate my 50th, I had to pass the yearly checkup at the 'human garage'. The waiting room at the doctors was so dimly lit that even paper was difficult to read. The box did its job beautifully.

Thanks Larry Z. Wish you a long relationship with your reader!

I actually like reading in the dark. It fires the imagination, and I'm an inveterate night owl.

I own (and it still works) the Rocket REB 1200, the backlit color ebook reader from a few years ago. This thing rocked, and it was great to sit in bed in the middle of the night while my wife was asleep and read to my heart's content. Back then the Rocket store offered weekly magazine subscriptions, in addition to current book content. It was so cool to read Time and Newsweek (with photos) on the device...

Too bad the unit never caught on, because if it had we'd have seen a much better screen display by now, and better battery life.

Like you I probably won't use the Sony Reader Box LED's all that often - but they're nice to have.

Cheers! And Happy Easter if it's your holiday!

Ah, yes... I remember being in Odessa in the 1990's, and the churches there were beautiful.

Passover, however, is the big holiday in our house...

Happy Anniversary too, Yvan!

Well! It's a difficult decision to share but I've decided to suspend box production indefinitely. Reason: time.

I would like to thank everyone who was kind enough to patron one, and to all those who wished me well.

It was a fun project. And I was glad to have solved, for a very few, a protection and transport problem, for this device we like so much.

Again, many thanks!

I guess it wasn't very profitable for you yvan? I'm sure the readers who purchased your boxes appreciate the time you put into the project even though it wasn't worth it for you business-wise in the end.
