It seems to me that the 'back catalogue' is the key element to success at this. One book entries aren't going to have a lot of success. The people who can produce a number of reliable books that are the same as the last book, but different, will succeed. It works for movies, TV, books, and a lot of other products.

That's what I also think, that yes a lit agent would make a difference, but then you would not be indie authors, doing it by ourselves.
