A scanned pdf book will always be a bigger file then a text pdf and therefore need a more powerful processor to be quickly readable.

Yes, I know...
And thats why I am still waiting for the realease of a e-reader with decent processor and screen size (bigger than 6'').
The Ipad for me, with all the extras is really not attractive (and shorter battery life and all the eye strain from the LCD screen... ) and I also will appreciate a full touch-screen (not have to use the stylus) (and that why the iRex 800 is not very attractive to me).
I hope that the Asus DR900 or the Copia Ocean 9 will be available soon (and the cheaper the better). After they are release and depending on how they handle large size (and full of photos) PDFs, I will make my choice.
