Dear All:

Yesterday I had to hastily draft up a simple contract for authors to sign if they wish Astak to put their books on our website. It is a standard run-of-the-mill agreement but does have to be drafted and signed.

So, the delay in getting up Steven Lake's eBook is just the formality of the contract. Legally, we have to have a contract showing the authior gives us the right to carry it and how the author will be paid for "pay" titles and what the price will be.

I know you hate waiting... and so do I... but these hoops must be jumped through. I am waiting now for my draft to be approved by Astak for use.

I know. I hate making thing more complex than they could be. But we need the agreement for others that may not be great like you.

I am getting the draft approved over the weekend and plan to send to you Monday.

If all goes smoothly, we will have your free title up first (hopefully Tuesday or Wednesday... and pay titles by end of next week hopefully.

Again, the agreement is pretty simplistic and does not have legaleze. It is good old plain English.

Kindle is rumored to be coming out with the Kindlewood Flying Car. It burns coal and will be subsidized to $179.95. I guess all you have to do is sign an ironclad agreement with them to buy $190,000 (pro-rated annually of course) of eBooks over the next three years, pay them $200 a year for battery changes (mandatory), and allow them to remove any and all eBooks during the night while you sleep. Coal is extra and could be purchased from Amazon if the rumor is true!

Steven Lake's books are awaiting the finalizing of the Authors Agreement and then having Steven sign it. You cannot find Steven Lake's eBooks yet because they are not yet up.

The free eBook novel will likely be up on our site by Wednesday of next week ( April 21). It will be spotlighted with a special button just for it!! It is coming... but getting something up requires a lot of work with the server and requires a signed agreement.

The webmaster has made the search by author very easy. You can search by entering "Danielle Steel" or "Steel, Danielle" and it will do the same thing!!

I tried it many times and it works. Please let me know if you experience any problems!

I get different results. Searching by author for "Asimov Isaac" gets his books; searching for "Isaac Asimov" gets a bunch of books by other Isaacs before anything by Isaac Asimov.
