Generally, it seems that covers for the 600 will work for the 505, but not necessarily the other way around. M-Edge told me by email that their 600 covers will fit the 505, and that's also what comes up in Case Logic's case search system.

By the way, didn't Oberon use to have Sony Reader covers? Now all they've got listed is the Kindle and Nook ones.

One of these days (probably when I get a whole case of round tuits), I'm going to dig my leatherworking tools out of storage, hit the nearest Tandy for a few supplies, and start making fancy tooled covers. If people will pay $75 for a machine-stamped cover, surely they'll pay at least that for a handmade one. Maybe I could sell enough of them to support my reading habit? (step 1: get a round tuit....)

Best cover for protection in a purse (300 & 600)

Hello,

Wifey has a new 600 and want to carry it in her purse. The little foam case doesn't cut it. What is the toughest case on the market? I mean really tough.

Or is there something she can put the reader and foam case in?

I also carry mine in my backpack (300 model) so I am in the same boat.

We want something tough. Your ideas are greatly appreciated.

BookArmor makes a nice case. I have had my 505 in one since I bought. Since my case they have added a galvanized steel to to the hard plastic for added strength. I have been told that case logic makes a nice case too for the 300 and 600.

Previously posted in the "Introduce Yourself" section...

Hello. As makers of the BookArmor line of products, we frequently read the posts here on MobileRead to get a feel for how our products are being received in the market. We truly appreciate all of your posts and often try to incorporate your suggestions and complaints into our new designs.

Today, I am appealing to the community of MobileRead for help. A very unhappy customer has posted a negative review for BookArmor on the Amazon and Amazon UK sites. This customer did not purchase directly from us, and has never contacted us for assistance. Instead, he took his grievance to the public, without even giving us a chance to make things right for him. He is using the BookArmor for the BeBook Neo, yet has posted his review on all of our product listings: Nook, Cybook, Sony, Kindle, Novel, et al. For many of our listings, his negative review is the only one posted, giving a very one-sided view of the product.

If you have any experience with the BookArmor line of products, I implore you to visit either of the Amazon.com sites and post a review of your BookArmor. You do not have to have purchased your BookArmor from Amazon to post a review. While glowing reviews would be most appreciated, we're really looking for objective viewpoints to help balance his negative posting.

Again, we appreciate all of your comments, good and bad, as they guide us in our development of new products. We would welcome any comments from the MobileRead community.
