turning it off doesn't work...I get a "Plock"on every stylus and Keypress action I do...I hate that...

I hope there is a wy to get rid of that fast...:-(

About the stylus...it still doesn't use any of the WACOM features as far as I can tell...you can select different line-strengts, but not by pressing harder or less hard with the stylus as far as I can tell...you have to select it via an icon at the bottom right of the screen...stupid if you ask me. You can now also erase (but again only using an icon, not using the backside of the pen as would be sensible given the WACOM Penabled specs) and you can do different "colours" which is OK.

So that's a really big dissappointment for me there...

@vvoi666

Why can't you download it via wired LAN? That's the way I did it because I don't like WLAN...

I have the feeling (and I might be totally wrong), that this pen is a very basic Wacom, so it might be missing some features, or maybe they haven't got the software up and running properly yet, who knows?

i have only one pc that's connected to the internet at home.
all other machines are connected via my home network but not the internet.

i just don't like my devices being 'out there' on the internet.

@elaHughet

I read the press release from Wacom and they actually told everybody outh there that the Iliad would have a fully-fledged WACOM Penabled system integrated, so that would mean 256-scale Pressure sensitive and all that...including the erazor function...so I guess they either changed something later on or it's all just software once again...

Seems that my CF-Card (just bought for the iLiad) stopped working. Worked perfect before. Now it show up empty on the iLiad.

I just opened a "2.5 Issues" Thread in the Software section...maybe we could continue there?

Thanks.

I keep getting a file corrupted message. Have tried 5 times now to download the pre-update. It downloaded the release notes OK, so it is not my network :-(

Will have to try again tonight.

I am using my Iliad with a full Wacom pen, and the functionality is the same as the Iliads pen

Happy Days
I am trying to look on the bright side. I may not have an updated Iliad, but I do have a support ticket number. Fortunately my Iliad still works, but it refuses to update due to a corrupted file.

@DHer
techsupport@irextechnologies.com but I had to phone in order to gat a ticket number. The email I received from them included the line "Emails without a ticket number will not be processed." so I do not know if it will help you.

Pre-update is installed. No differece is visible.
Q: Is it normal that in "download history" pre-update isn't listed?

My status-quo: iLiad don't dowloads the second packet, it connects to server but doesn't find anything so it get's "download complete" without any download.
Is there somebody with the same problem?

Yap, me.
I got the release notes from 2.5 after pre2.5 download.
Did the update, and a new connection to ids gives me a quick download complete.
But the lady from iRex techsupport said, it might be a server overload problem, and i should try again later.
