Suze2000, they have already sold books knowing that the kindle was sent to a country other than the US - better to ignore than have to deal with it.

Sure they can close your account, but then that raises other issues that they wont want to deal with.
Of course they have a legal right to request them. They can request whatever they wish. You, of course, equally have a perfect right to decline their request if you wish, and they then have a right to decline to sell you any further books. Nobody has a "right" to buy books from Amazon - they can choose to decline to sell to whomsoever they wish.

I have the Kindle for PC software and can't seem to find a way to transfer the books I have on it (samples from before I had my K2) to my Kindle. How do I do this?

You have to re-download them specifically for your kindle -- either to the computer and transfer or wirelessly directly to the Kindle.

Please help by giving the "easy" directions of how to strip the DRM. A link provided in a previous post was removed. I want to read books from the library on my Kindle. Please direct me to a link or give an explanation on how this may be possible. Thanks. I am a newbie-sorry.

Harry. not sure about the US but in Australia we are strongly discouraged from giving any official Government identification to anyone other than a Financial Institution, (which require the Government '100 point' check to open an account) or to another Government Body. Certainly, giving someone a copy of your passport page is a real 'no no'.
